Liverpool Council says its gritting trucks are out in force, despite complaints of dangerously frozen roads around the city.
The city council said all seven of its trucks are back out and spreading grit on main roads around the city. The local authority said the latest run is their fourth since Saturday after temperatures plummeted.
A message from the council stated: "Our teams are working extremely hard to keep the city moving and residents safe. Gritters have been out across the weekend and this morning in challenging conditions. Please drive carefully as these sustained low temperatures means gritting will not guarantee a road will be free of ice."

The council said its trucks will cover 600km of city roads in a four hour run. An online map shows the main routes around the city (in blue) and the pathways around the city centre (in red) where gritting will take place.
As well as the gritting trucks, the council pointed to 163 community grit bins around the city that it said have been restocked this morning. You can find your nearest one here.
But despite the council's announcements, a number of people have complained about roads being left dangerous or paths around the city. One suggested the Garston area had been "forgotten about", while another said: "Leeds Street between Vauxhall and Dock Road, pedestrian on the left was completely frozen. Why are only streets taken care of?"
Another asked: "I've just seen Liverpool Council gritting Derby Lane in Old Swan, do they not grit the side streets because some of them are like ice rinks. It's dangerous."
In response, the council said: "In terms of footpaths, they too are treated - especially in the city centre - but if there is a stretch that is dangerous you can report that and it will be looked at."
