The January transfer window is well underway and Liverpool continue to be linked with bringing in mid-season reinforcements.

It has been reported that the Barcelona winger has missed the club’s deadline to renew his contract and could now leave the club this month.

A report by Spanish publication AS, quoted by HITC, has said that the Catalan club had given the 24-year-old until January 15 to agree fresh terms and are now “in favour” of moving on Dembele this month.

Barcelona coach Xavi is said to be “very hurt” by the situation, having discussed the player’s potential since returning to the Camp Nou as manager in November.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for the France international, with his current contract set to expire this summer.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Liverpool are “prepared to le Roberto Firmino leave” this summer for a fee in the region of £16.5m.

The news stems from a report by Spanish outlet El Nacional , which highlights Diogo Jota’s form as the main reason that the Reds are looking to move on the Brazil international.

Barcelona have been linked with making a move for the 30-year-old as their search for a striker continues, following Sergio Aguero’s enforced retirement.

Liverpool are reportedly one of four Premier League sides chasing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

The 25-year-old is set to become a free agent this summer, after turning down a new contract at the San Siro.
