Liverpool Women have confirmed six players, including defensive duo Megan Campbell and Leighanne Robe, will leave the club at the end of the season.
Campbell and Robe, alongside goalkeeper Charlotte Clarke, midfielders Ashley Hodson and Carla Humphrey and defender Rhiannon Roberts, will embark on new chapters in their careers when their current deals expire at the end of the season.
Academy graduate Hodson will depart as the club’s record appearance holder in the professional era, playing 135 games since her debut in 2014. The 28-year-old, who has spent the past campaign on loan at Birmingham City, was part of the squad that won the Women’s Super League title in her first season, before adding the Championship title in 2022.

Robe arrived on Merseyside in 2018 and has since played more than 100 games for the club. Fellow defender, Wales international Roberts, has also brought up close to a century of appearances for the Reds.
Republic of Ireland international Campbell has spent the last two seasons at Prenton Park and provided squad versatility by playing both as a left-back and a centre-back. Her set-piece delivery was an important factor in the Reds' Championship triumph, with her weath of WSL experience proving valuable on Liverpool's return to the top flight.
Humphrey, too, and was an integral part of the squad that secured promotion back to the WSL, while Clarke joined the goalkeeping pool in January 2021 before spending the past season on loan with West Bromwich Albion Women.
Reflecting on the depatures, manager Matt Beard told club media: “I know our fans will join me in wishing all the players moving on the very best of luck in the future. It is a natural part of football for squads to evolve and change but we will be following their future progress with great interest.
“I’m pleased we have a final game on Saturday for the supporters to pay tribute to their work both in matches, on the training pitch and as part of the group.”
Liverpool will take on Manchester United in their final game of the season at Prenton Park on Saturday.
