The conversation surrounding Liverpool is focused on RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.
This week, the Reds held talks with the Hungary captain's representatives over a move as they look to reassess options for their midfield rebuild.
Question marks emerged over the deal after conflicting reports of when the 22-year-old's release clause of £60m would expire. It has been suggested that it will cease to exist as of July 1 which plunged doubts over whether Liverpool could afford the demands made by Leipzig.
But that changed on Friday as Liverpool made their move to push the deal through.

Dominik Szoboszlai
Liverpool are ready to push ahead with a deal to sign Dominik Szoboszlai.
First reported by David Ornstein of The Athletic, the Reds have indeed made their move to sign the Hungarian midfielder.
After the move looked difficult, the dynamic has shifted it has been claimed. Newcastle are out of the hunt to sign him and Liverpool are now confident of a deal.
In the last 24 hours, there has been a shift which has given the Reds confidence a deal can be struck.
A release clause would allow the 22-year-old to leave for a set price in the region of £60m but the clause expires today meaning interested parties could face paying a higher fee should they wait.
Meanwhile, the Express have reported that a move which will see the former RB Salzburg midfielder move to Anfield is more likely after the release clause expires.
This is because paying the £60m, as stipulated in his contract, would require the Reds to pay the fee in full but negotiations after June 30 would see Liverpool able to offer to pay in instalments or with add-ons.
Kylian Mbappe
French newspaper Le Parisien, via SportBILD, have reported that Paris Saint-Germain have put pressure on Kylian Mbappe's agent, and mother, Fayza Lamari to decide quickly on his future with the Ligue 1 champions.
Speculation has once again surrounded the France star over his future with the financial powerhouses as reports suggest he could sign for Real Madrid. This week, it was claimed that Liverpool were willing to blow their transfer record out of the water in order to bring him to Anfield.
It was claimed by FIFA agent Marco Kirdemir that the Reds were willing to pay £257m for the World Cup Golden Boot winner. He said: "They told me that they are very angry. They wanted and were confident that he was going to renew. The Emir is very upset.
"Liverpool is competing with Real Madrid and wants to pay a fortune for Mbappé, that fortune he speaks of would be around 300 million."
These reports have since been rebuffed. Now reports in France suggest that the forward's mother - who is said to have great influence over the striker - faced pressure to decide on his future so they can plan ahead.
Victor Osimhen
It has been reported during the transfer window that Liverpool held an interest in Napoli star Victor Osimhen. His team were reportedly said to be preparing talks with three Premier League clubs - the Reds among those- according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
A move is unlikely for the Nigerian forward, despite reported interest, with Liverpool's sights set elsewhere this summer.
According to Sky in Italy, via Calciomercato, there is still distance between Osimhen and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis over a renewal. But to prise him away from the Serie A champions, a valuation of €200m (£171m) has been mooted.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with the attacker this summer as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his forward line.
Pedri
Barcelona have faced a turbulent few years amid financial uncertainty. They have faced pressure from La Liga which has thrust their squad registration into doubt.
As a result, the future of their prized asset Pedri sparked speculation as to whether he would leave the Nou Camp on a free. It was previously reported that the Reds were interested in the talented Spanish midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window last season.
The Daily Mirror claimed that he was being lined up for a £70m move to the Reds.
However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has sent a strong message that the prized assets in Catalonia are not for sale. He said in a TV interview: "We need to have a competitive team to keep progressing.
"We have had offers for Pedri, Ansu (Fati, ed.), Christensen, De Jong and Araujo. But we want to keep them here because they are important for the present and the future."
Goncalo Inacio
The release clause for Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inancio is 'easily attainable' for Premier League clubs, including Liverpool.
That is according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, who have reported that the centre-back has a release clause of €45m (£38.7m) and the club have recognised the interest which has led to talks of an extension.
However, it was previously claimed that said negotiations were frozen by the outlet which would've seen a release clause of €60m (£52m) included.
Newcastle United and Arsenal have also been named as suitors for the 21-year-old.
