Covid infections have dropped by more than 20% in the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the city region saw 5,136 infections in the seven days ending February 19 - that's 1,487 fewer positive tests than the previous week.
This meant Liverpool City Region's week-on-week percentage change figure was a drop of 23%.

Every local government area of the Liverpool City Region had decreases in infections. The falls were: 5% in Knowsley; 25% in Liverpool; 24% in Halton; 13% in St Helens; 27% in Sefton; and 25% in Wirral.
In the Liverpool City Region, infections fell by 23%.
Warrington, West Lancashire, and Cheshire West and Chester all saw falls in positive Covid tests in the week ending February 19.
In England, there was a 26% drop in positive tests.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 1,618 cases in the week ending February 19, which is 551 fewer cases than the previous week.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 25%.
The latest infection rate was 323.3 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 1,125 cases in the week ending February 19, which is 365 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 25%.
The latest infection rate was 346.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 468 positive tests over the last week - that's 151 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 24% in Halton in the week ending February 19.
The latest infection rate is 360.7 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 541 cases in the week ending February 19, which is 77 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 298.7 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 13%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 545 cases in the week ending February 19, which is 26 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 357.5 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 5%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 839 cases in the week ending February 19, which is a 317 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 304.1 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases decreased by 27% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 5,136 positive tests over in the week ending February 19, which is 1,487 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change fell by 23%. The latest infection rate is 301.36 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 722 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 19, which is 184 fewer cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure dropped by 20%. There was an infection rate of 344.80 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 321 coronavirus cases in the week ending February 19, which is 134 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 30%. The infection rate was 280.36 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 1,379 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 19, which is 657 fewer cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 401.08 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage fell by 32% in cases.
England
In the week ending February 19, England recorded 238,481 coronavirus cases, which is 84,121 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage drop of 26% in cases in England, and there was an infection rate of 421.72 per 100,000 people.
