One area of the Liverpool City Region has recorded a rise in positive covid tests.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, Halton recorded 124 cases in the week ending May 21, which is 13 more cases than the previous week.

It meant the week-on-week percentage change figure went up by 12% in Halton.
The five other areas of the Liverpool City Region recorded falls in positive covid tests in the week ending May 21. The decreases were: 15% in Knowsley; 28% in Liverpool; 12% in Halton; 11% in St Helens; 29% in Sefton; 3% in Wirral.
The week-on-week percentage change figure in the Liverpool City Region dropped by 17%.
In West Lancs, and Warrington, and Cheshire West and Cheste r logged decreases in covid infections.
The week-on-week percentage change figure in England overall dropped by 13% in the week ending May 21.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 308 cases in the week ending May 21, which is 117 fewer cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 28%. The latest infection rate was 61.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 272 cases in the week ending May 21, which is eight fewer cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 3%. The latest infection rate was 83.9 cases per 100,000 people
Halton
There were 124 positive tests over the last week - that's 13 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 12% in Halton in the week ending May 21. The latest infection rate is 95.6 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 146 cases in the week ending May 21, which is 18 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 80.6 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 11%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 110 cases in the week ending May 21, which is 19 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 72.2 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 15%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 206 cases in the week ending May 21, which is a 84 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 74.7 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases dropped by 29% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 1,166 positive tests over in the week ending May 21, which is 233 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change dropped by 17%. The latest infection rate is 68.48 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 155 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 21, which is 34 fewer cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure dropped by 18%. There was an infection rate of 74.02 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 284 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 21, which is 91 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate is 82.60 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage dropped by 24% in cases.
West Lancs
There were 79 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 21, which is 21 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 69.00 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage dropped by 21% in cases.
England
In the week ending May 21, England recorded 42,577 coronavirus cases, which is 6,450 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage dropped by 13% in England. There was an infection rate of 75.29 per 100,000 people.
