A Liverpool arcade bar is hosting retro video game tournament.
NQ64 will be bringing the final instalment of it's monthly gaming competitions to the city centre venue. Entrants will battle in a game of classic Nintendo game Super Smash Bros. Melee.
The title, originally released in 2001, sees iconic Nintendo characters such as Mario, Link and Pikachu battle out in a multiplayer fighting game. It was critically acclaimed upon release and is a popular choice for E-Sports tournaments.

Competitors will also be offered some slices of pizza. Prizes for the winner includes more free tins of Long Drink, NQ64 tokens and a mystery goody bag.
NQ64 has bars across the country, including Manchester and London. The venues host a wide range of retro arcade, console and pinball games including Street Fighter, Mario Kart and Guitar Hero. It also offers game-themed cocktails and unique craft beer.
Its Liverpool site is located on Colquitt Street, between Seel Street and Duke Street in Liverpool city centre.
Entry for the tournament is free. You can apply to play by messaging NQ64’s Liverpool Instagram account here.
