Liverpool Airport drops huge Reds transfer hint with 'plane tracker' post

Liverpool Airport have caused a stir on social media with a post seemingly relating to Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo.

The Reds are exploring the possibility of signing the Brazil international on loan for the remainder of the season. The ECHO understands that the Reds are looking at a deal to sign Arthur, following the injury problems in midfield.

Jordan Henderson suffered a muscle injury during Liverpool’s win over Newcastle United on Wednesday night. He joins the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita on the sidelines, while Curtis Jones has only just returned to fitness.

While interested in a potential deal for Arthur, Liverpool are continuing to assess other ways of bolstering their midfield options before the deadline. Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz is another player who has been linked with a move to Anfield on deadline day, with Arsenal also said to be interested.

As talk around the possibility of Liverpool signing Arthur grows, Liverpool Airport’s Twitter account has joined in.

Their account has posted two screenshots showing a plane tracker, which shows an aircraft scheduled to arrive on Merseyside after departing from Turin. Earlier in the day, Arthur was spotted arriving at the airport in Turin as he looks set to jet in for a medical.

Liverpool have until 11pm tonight to formally complete any deals before the transfer window slams shut.
