The Green Bay Packers’ final open practice of training camp in 2024 will include a visit from the Baltimore Ravens, who are in Green Bay for a one-day joint practice ahead of Saturday’s preseason finale.
Matt LaFleur’s team will take on the AFC powerhouse in competitive periods and 11-on-11 work, providing one of the last tune-ups before the start of the regular season.
So, what will Day 19 bring at Ray Nitschke Field?

LaFleur still isn’t sure if Jordan Love will play the preseason finale on Saturday. “We’ll see.”
LaFleur said the tape from last Friday’s joint practice showed that Nik Bonitto did hit Jordan Love’s arm. The message: “They are in a difficult colored uniform for a reason. Stay off the quarterback,” LaFleur said.
Injury updates
LaFleur said rookie Jordan Morgan will go through individual periods before the team decides if he’ll return to 11-on-11 work on Thursday.
The Packers are still awaiting tests/opinions on A.J. Dillon’s stinger.

Somewhat quietly, Colby Wooden has had a nice summer. Two strong preseason games and a good start to 1-on-1s on Thursday:

Big play from Michael Pratt and Grant DuBose:
First big cheer for #Packers offense comes when QB Michael Pratt hits WR Grant DuBose on a deep sideline shot.

Roquan Smith intercepts Jordan Love:
Jordan Love tried to hit Jayden Reed over the middle, and Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith undercuts it for pick. Impressive play from Smith, one of the NFL’s best. Went up and got the football. Slow start for #Packers offense.

Sean Clifford to Malik Heath for a big play:
Malik Heath beats rookie CB Nate Wiggins on a go route down right sideline, and Sean Clifford does not miss. Dropped it over Heath’s shoulder for about 45 yards. Clifford needed that throw.

Xavier McKinney making plays early:
McKinney in on several plays. Tackle in run game at LOS. Makes tackle in flat on pass. PBU over the middle.
Bullard starting next to him but Williams getting work too.

Slow start for Jordan Love:
Jordan Love’s numbers through first 3 team periods, which were split between first/second down and third down: 6-12, 52 yards, INT. It’s been a slow start vs. Ravens defense.
Sean Clifford hit Malik Heath for 45-yard bomb. Michael Pratt hit Grant DuBose for about 25 on bootleg.

Tight end screen to Tucker Kraft for a touchdown in red zone:
The screen game is picking up!!!

Love and the Packers on fire inside the 10-yard line. Romeo Doubs caught two of the touchdown passes:
Love throws four passes from inside of 10. Four touchdowns.

Pressure in the red zone for the Packers No. 1 defense:
Lamar had two TD passes during lengthy RZ period to Kolar and Flowers. Nixon also committed DPI in end zone face guarding Tez Walker. Other than those, constant pressure/sacks in the backfield.

BIG day for Tucker Kraft:
Love almost gets picked again by Smith on shallow cross. Gets free play on offside but can’t connect with Doubs. Diving try by Watson on sideline out is no good. Finishes sequence with bullet off play action to Kraft over the middle, Kraft’s 5th catch today.

Love dealing in move-the-ball period:
In move the ball, Jordan Love hits Jayden Reed for 33 yards deep over middle. Would’ve been 38-yard TD in game. A bit underthrown, but Reed made good adjustment for catch.
On drive, Love completed 3-5 passes for 69 yards.

A couple of big plays from Anthony Johnson Jr. with the No. 2 defense:
Good showing for #Packers two defense in move the ball – forced a four and out. Baltimore drives on second try with a seam to Ismail but Anthony Johnson jr breaks up a pass and gets a TFL to end it

No. 1 offense gets the game-tying field goal in the two-minute period:
Anders Carlson 35-yarder ties it after 1s two-minute drill. Love hit Doubs for 42 yards deep down the middle with Stephens in coverage. Screen to Jacobs for loss of four pushed them back and two fades to Wicks were INC. Washington had a great PBU on third down in back right…
— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) August 22, 2024
No. 1 defense also gets a stop in the two-minute:
Packers one defense sacks Jackson on first down and helps drain the clock. Baltimore tried a 62 yard Tucker field goal but it falls short
— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) August 22, 2024
Another interception for Packers rookie Evan Williams:
Evan Williams intercepts Ravens backup QB Josh Johnson in 2-minute drill. Literally, all that kid does is make plays. #Packers have no choice but to get the 4th-round rookie on the field.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) August 22, 2024
Michael Pratt gets the backup offense into field goal range and Greg Joseph ties it:
Pratt’s 2-min drive: Almost goes 4 and out but Ravens penalty on 4th down gives another chance. Leaping catch by DuBose on sideline plus short completions to Merriweather, Sims & Toure sets up Joseph for long FG, which is good.
— Mike Spofford (@mikespofford) August 22, 2024
Anders Carson was a perfect 5-for-5, including long field goals to finish off two different two-minute scenarios.
The Packers went 3/3 tying the game and 3/3 preventing a score in the two-minute drills.
With offense down 3 in the 2-minute drills, the Packers kicked three field goals and allowed zero scores.

Open practices during training camp are now complete. The preseason finale is Saturday, and roster cutdown day is Tuesday. Then? It’s onto the regular season.
