Tickets are now on sale for a first chance to see new work by up-and-coming writers who are described as the North East's future theatre-makers.
Live Theatre has announced details of its 2022 Elevator Festival, an annual platform for local talents which will showcase plays and readings from March 16-26.
It offers a chance for audiences to have the first look at new work, created with the help of the quayside theatre's bursary and talent development programme.

Kicking off the bill from March 16-19 wil be a play called Intergalactic (Petals and Constellations), by Alison Scurfield, which tells of a young man, Johnny, who meets new boy Hassan when he joins the school and is described as a "witty and tender tale about grief, growing up gay and the universe".
A reading of Kailey, on March 19, is a comedy drama based upon its writer Kerry Wright's own teenage experience of having a parent in prison; then a Scratch Night on March 21 will see five local artists and companies test out their theatre ideas as work-in-progress extracts. The audience will also have an opportunity to give feedback to help shape the end-result.
Then a stage version by Chris Connel of local writer Lucy Nichol's first book The Twenty Seven Club will run from March 23-26, offering an exploration of mental health issues, drink and drugs against a backdrop of nineties pop.
Alongside the plays, the festival programme will also include workshops with industry professionals.
