UK’s Johnson visits Ukraine on Independence Day, pledges more military aid

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a surprise visit to Ukraine on Wednesday as the country marks its independence from Soviet rule in 1991. Exactly six months after the Russian invasion, Johnson lauded Ukraine’s "indomitable" resistance and pledged a further military aid package. Read our blog to see how the day's events unfolded.
