Today, Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, and Newsroom are hosting politicians for one of the first debates of the 2023 election campaign.
Politicians from National, Labour, ACT and the Greens will outline how they plan to respond to issues affecting Auckland – the country’s biggest city.
The debate will be moderated by Newsroom’s co-editor Tim Murphy and starts at 4.30pm.
The four MPs taking part are Labour’s Shanan Halbert, National’s Simeon Brown, The Green Party's Chlöe Swarbrick and Act’s Brooke van Velden.
Topics include future funding for Auckland housing, transport and how the city will cope with climate change.
