LIV Golf have agreed a new broadcasting deal with Fox Sports ahead of the 2025 campaign after their two-year deal The CW Network ends.
LIV Golf & Fox Sports Agreed Broadcast Deal For 2025
Fox Sports has not been heavily involved with the world of golf, last airing the sport in 2019 as the channel broadcasted the U.S. Open.
However according to reports, Fox will air all of LIV Golf’s tournaments through its various list of channels – but specific details over the deal are yet to be released.
Over the last two years, LIV Golf have shown their events through The CW Network and the deal between the two will not be renewed for 2025.
Ratings for the controversial golf organisation have been far from impressive in 2024, accumulating under 200,000 viewers each week.
Two of the biggest names in golf, Jon Rahm and Brooks Kopeka competed at The Greenbrier in August, but this only receieved 165,000 spectators.
Ratings across golf have been dipping across all leagues in 2024, as The PGA Tour struggled to reach the lofty heights of years prior.
This was also echoed in the viewership for The Masters, as the iconic golf tournament saw a 20% drop in ratings which has been put down to the increase in social media influencers that harbour views through golf.
Despite this decrease in views, LIV Golf has formatted their 2025 campaign and the season is set to end by August so that it does not clash with the NFL schedule.
Fox shows a plethora of sports through its channels including, the NFL, MLB, college football, college basketball, and NASCAR, which will be used to promote LIV Golf during the various sporting events.
Fox Sports appeared to be the most obvious choice for LIV, as The PGA has broadcasting deals with the majority of of TV companies including NBC, CBS, ABC, and ESPN.
