Little Mix sob on stage between songs during final farewell gig before hiatus

Little Mix 's final performance took place at London’s O2 Arena this evening, and there wasn't a dry eye in the building.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and J ade Thirlwall all broke down in tears throughout the night, as they came to the end of their 'Confetti' tour and prepared to go on a hiatus as a band.

The talented trio - who announced their plans for a break in December 2021 - all wept as they belted out some of their biggest hits, including Shout Out To My Ex, Heartbreak Anthem and Break Up Song.

As the one-time X Factor winners reflected on their decade together, former bandmate Jesy Nelson was seemingly absent from montages and speeches - following her December 2020 exit from the group and subsequent comments.

According to The Sun, after the now-trio appeared on a platform suspended from the ceiling, Jade told the audience: "We’ve laughed together, cried together.

"We have got each other through some of the darkest times of our lives, and created some of the most amazing memories, and we love each other so much."

An emotional Perrie added: "I need to contain myself because this is going to be, like, a really ugly cry!"

The mum-of-one continued to describe their love for each other as "ridiculous" and thanked her bandmates for the past decade.

Perrie's emotional display comes after doctors had advises the singer not to take to the stage for Little Mix's final shows due to suffering from a throat infection.

At one point during the evening, mum-of-twins Leigh-Anne and Jade broke down in tears during one song - with the audience helping them out during their rendition of Between Us.

While her former bandmates were bidding farewell to their fans, ex-Little Mixer Jesy took to her Instagram Stories to share more snaps and clips of her time in L.A.

The singer - who walked away from the band citing mental health reasons - was missing from the majority of montages and clips playing inside London’s O2 Arena.

Little Mix fans that missed out on getting a ticket for the final show (for now) were able to watch the iconic performance from the comfort of their own home via a livestream.

"I’ve already cried 5 times lmao. I would’ve given anything to see them live. Part of me is still holding out hope for a reunion tour in the future," one fan gushed on Twitter during the final performance on Saturday night.

Another reflected on another memorable band 'break up', writing: "I feel bad for making fun of my sister when One Direction broke up, because I’m watching this Little Mix live stream of their final show and I cried twice and it’s not even over yet."

After being grouped together on The X Factor a decade ago, Jad e, Leigh-Anne and Perrie told fans last year they "felt the time is right" to recharge separately after their Confetti tour.

The girls have frequently been keen to stress they're "not splitting up" and promise fans more "music, tours and performances" in the future.
