Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock has gone solo after signing a new record deal with Warner Music, according to reports.
Leigh-Anne, 30, who gave birth to twins last year, is hoping to make a comeback in the charts, this time in her own rights.
Her former bandmate Jesy Nelson, who left Little Mix in December 2020, signed with Republic Records in August and Leigh-Anne is said to be keen to make her debut as a solo act while bandmates Jade Thirwall and Perrie Edwards decide on their next move.
Jesy's solo debut made the headlines for the wrong reasons after she was accused of black-fishing and in further stories it was allegedly Leigh-Anne who had warned her in the past about cultural appropriation.
A source told The Sun : "A number of labels were keen to bag Leigh-Anne but Warner seemed the best fit."
“She’s already been in the studio working on tracks for months."
Leigh-Anne's new label mates at Warner include Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and Madonna.
The insider continued: "Leigh-Anne unequivocally loves Little Mix and always will, but the truth is she’s been ready to branch out on her own for some time."
Our sister paper The Mirror has contacted Leigh-Anne's reps for comment.
Leigh-Anne has said before she felt "invisible" in the girl group and also spoke about racism in her BBC documentary called Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop & Power.
Following her recent role in movie Boxing Day she said: "It was literally like walking into a whole new world. I just remember when the opportunity came and the audition, I just couldn't refuse it, like I had to do it.
She also said performing I Say a Little Prayer in the film will "forever be one of the proudest moments" of her life.
She told her Insta followers: "This will forever be one of the proudest moments of my life.
I'll never forget the pride on my mum and dad's faces when they were watching. My mum cried her eyes out because it's one of her favourite songs."
"And to anyone who once said I couldn't ... I DID that."
