Jade Thirlwall is being talked up as the first Little Mix member to launch a solo career after the group's hotly anticipated Confetti tour. And it's being reported that she's ready to 'do a Madonna,' by ditching her second name.
Little Mix announced towards the end of last year that they'd be taking a break after the already delayed nationwide tour, which kicked off in Belfast on Saturday night. More than a decade has now passed since the girl group won X Factor, with them going onto land number 1s with the likes of Black Magic, Shout Out To My Ex and Sweet Melody, all of which have made the Little Mix setlist, which Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne leaked hours before the curtain went up at the weekend.
Original member Jesy Nelson quit the band at the end of 2020 and, since then the now trio have scored big hits with collaborations like Heartbreak Anthem and Kiss MY (Uh-Oh), as well as Love (Sweet Love). Little Mix have with dance icons David Guetta and Galantis for Heartbreak Anthem and sources a claiming that South Shields singer Jade is readying an 'electro bop', for the summer, while also having a slight rebrand by being known professionally as Jade.

She of course won't be the first star to be known by one name. As well as Madonna, Cher has always just been Cher, while Cheryl ditched Cole to be known as just Cheryl after her divorce from cheating footballer husband Ashley.
An insider told The Sun: Jade is going all out to make sure her solo career takes off. After talks with bosses she's decided a mini-revamp is the way to go and will be dropping her surname to simply be known as 'Jade' moving forward. It worked for Cheryl so they see no reason why it wouldn't work for Jade."
