When five-year-old Cybil Turnbull lost her precious Nutbrown Hare cuddly toy on a family day out to Seaton Delaval Hall, she was left distraught.
The cherished bunny had been a gift to Cybil from her gran, Elaine, 74, when she was a baby, and had grown up treasuring it. So when the tot's mam, Sarah, found out the bunny was lost, the family immediately contacted the National Trust country house who promised to look out for it. Soon after, Sarah was given the good news - the bunny had been found.
And to the mam-of-two's delight, thoughtful staff at Seaton Delaval Hall who'd found the bunny, had taken it on a series of adventures around the stately home, and documented it all in a file with photographs for Cybil to keep. Days after the loss, Cybil, who lives in Monkseaton with her family, was finally reunited with her bunny.

Dental therapist, Sarah, 37, said she was at a work meeting on January 21 when her husband, Tommy, 38, took Cybil and her sister, Martha, 7, to Seaton Delaval Hall in Northumberland. She said: "The girls love exploring Seaton Delaval, they love going in all of the different rooms and she took her little bunny with her but left it behind.
"When they came home later that day she was quite upset so my husband rang Seaton Delaval and asked if they could look for it. When then got a call back saying they'd found it and that they'd keep it safe. When we returned they spoke to Cybil saying they had a surprise for her and they showed us a little file with pictures of the bunny, detailing what it had been up to on all its different adventures in the different rooms."
Sarah continued: "She was so overwhelmed and hasn't let go of the bunny since. It was such a nice gesture to do because they didn't have to. They obviously took time out of their own busy schedules to go round and get the pictures - it was really nice. She got the bunny from her gran, it's a Nutbrown Hare bunny from the book Guess How Much I Love You, she's got the book, so it's a special bunny. Her granny had also knitted the jumper it wears, too."
Due to the kindness of the Seaton Delaval Hall staff, Sarah is now planning to return in order to say thank you. She added: "We're going to call back with some chocolates and drop them in to say thank you. It will be really nice to do that."
