Little boy, 5, tragically dies after horror accident with helium dinosaur balloon

A little boy aged just five tragically died after a horror accident with a helium dinosaur balloon. Karlton Noah Donaghey lost his life after trying to climb into the large balloon after he was found 'unresponsive' on the floor with it over his head and neck.

His heartbroken mum Lisa is now raising awareness of the dangers of helium following Karlton's shock death. She discovered him on the floor of their home in Dunston, Gateshead, with the helium balloon over his head and neck when she went to check on him inside the house.

The youngster was given CPR at the scene before being airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle for emergency treatment on June 23. He spent six days in intensive care before his ventilator was sadly switched off, Chronicle Live reports.
