Lisa Snowdon opens up about her travels with ex-boyfriend George Clooney

Lisa Snowdon has offered a rare glimpse into her relationship with Hollywood star George Clooney.

The model and TV presenter, 51, was linked to the 62-year-old actor between 2000 and 2005 after they met on the set of an advert.

And now, writing in The Sunday Times' Travel section, Snowdon has spoken about the cities in which the former couple spent a lot of time.

She said: “I met George Clooney on a TV commercial in Barcelona, but we also spent a lot of time in Los Angeles.

“I was back and forth to LA for photoshoots and the BBC show LA Pool Party. We once stayed in a great apartment in Santa Monica looking on to the beach. I also got an apartment in Venice.

“I was working on E! Entertainment’s coverage of the Oscars and Golden Globes. LA was a great place to work and have fun.”

Snowdon rarely speaks about her relationship with the star. In the past, she told The Sun: “George was charming, a really nice man, good fun and we had a great time. It was quite wild.

“Sometimes I think it will be written on my tombstone: ‘George Clooney once dated Lisa Snowdon.’”

The model is now in a relationship with Yorkshire-born entrepreneur George Smart. They have been engaged for seven years.

Snowdon has previously spoken out about her infertility struggles and coming to terms with not having children.

She has also spoken about the guilt she felt when she experienced jealousy after people she knew fell pregnant as she struggled with her own fertility.

She told ITV’s Good Morning Britain in the summer: “It’s such a horrible emotion to feel, to admit to – jealousy, envy, all of those things.

“I felt guilty. And I felt shame for feeling like that. But, you know, unless you haven’t become a mum or you’ve been trying to, you don’t realise that feeling, that little pang of sadness [when people tell you they are pregnant].

“This was a stronger emotion for me after I miscarried in my early 40s. So, when that happened, it took me a few years to really come to terms with the fact that this isn’t going to be for me in this lifetime.

“But that didn’t stop me from feeling that little pang of sadness.”
