Lisa Kudrow has addressed the criticism that there was a lack of diversity on Friends, with her saying that the co-creators wrote about experiences that they knew themselves.
The actor, 59, played Phoebe in the NBC sitcom which centred around six friends who lived in New York City. The show was originally broadcast from 1994 until 2004.
It's long been argued that the cast wasn't racially diverse enough and the show's co-creator Marta Kauffman, 65, said earlier this year that she's "embarrassed" over the issue on reflection.
