Lisa Armstrong splashing £31m Ant McPartlin divorce settlement to upgrade mansion

Ant McPartlin ’s ex-wife has been given the green light to splash the cash as she uses some of her £31million divorce settlement to upgrade her mansion.

Make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, 45, was this week granted planning permission to install a pool, gym, outhouse and gazebo in the grounds of her west London home.

Lisa submitted the papers to the council last year in a planning application for the overhaul as part of her first big spend since her split from Britain’s Got Talent star Ant, 46.

And she was given the good news that it had been approved by the London Borough of Hounslow this week, meaning that work can now start.

A source said: “It’s been a topsy-turvy few years to say the least but Lisa has turned a corner and everything is looking rosy at the moment.

“She is very much focused on the future and is in a really good place after what was a difficult period.”

Lisa recently gave her online followers a rare glimpse inside her £3.8m home which she moved into in 2020.

Pictures she posted show a plush living room featuring a velvet green sofa, stunning art and an open-plan kitchen.

Lisa’s marriage to Ant ended in 2018, and in the settlement she got their £5m former marital home in Chiswick, West London – since sold – as well as a slice of his fortune worth up to £31m.

She moved into her new West London home in 2020 and in the same year her divorce was reportedly finalised and she went public with her new relationship with James Green. Ant has since tied the knot with his former PA Anne-Marie Corbett.

Speaking of his new relationship, Ant said: “Anne-Marie honestly is the fundamental reason for the great change in my life. She’s been my rock. She’s a beautiful soul. We’re very happy.”

Ant and Lisa met at a Smash Hits concert in Newcastle, in the mid-90s, when Lisa was in girl group Deuce and Ant was performing with Declan Donnelly as PJ & Duncan.
