Lisa Armstrong could be planning an LA beach wedding with her new beau after close friends have hinted an engagement announcement is “imminent”.
The Strictly Come Dancing makeup artist went through a difficult divorce with former husband Ant McPartlin - who tied the knot with his new wife Anne-Marie Corbett in August last year.
Lisa and Ant announced their separation in 2018 and divorced after 23 years together in 2020.
The devastating breakdown of the marriage left 45-year-old Lisa “heartbroken”, but she has found her “happy place” in the idyllic LA sunshine.
Lisa has found love again with her new beau electrician James Green, with close friends saying she is happier than ever.
Lisa was introduced to the dad-of-two by mutual friends in the US - with rumours circulating of a secret proposal.
A source told Closer magazine: “Their friends wouldn’t be surprised if there was an exciting announcement coming soon, and they suspect James may have proposed in LA during their romantic break.
“Lisa has said she would love to get married on the beach in Malibu, as it’s one of her favourite places in the world.”
They continued: “She’s told James she would love for a beach wedding and he’s hinted at a holiday proposal, which of course makes her very happy and would bring her joy.
“LA holds a special place in her heart as it helped her heal and she truly believes it was a trip there that helped her to rebuild after her divorce and put her in the right headspace to fall in love again.”
Lisa lives in Chiswick, West London and is reportedly planning an extensive refurbishment to her home as she settles down with James, 37.
But the pair are now considering buying a second California-based home as friends believe an engagement announcement is imminent.
She is looking to live well in the mansion, which she bought in 2020, and is planning to add a pool, gym, outhouse and gazebo, as she makes extensive changes to the garden of her home.
The source added that Lisa’s new romance comes as her career is similarly blossoming, with the make-up artist in “high demand” at the moment.
Lisa's work on Strictly, role as a judge on make-up show Glow up and the success of her Avon make-up line are said to have caught the eye of Hollywood's entertainment moguls.
“She’s also very loved up with James and she’s enjoying mixing work with pleasure while on their holiday. She’s excited about how things are shaping up, both in her work life and her love life too," added the insider.
