Liquor smugglers pay drivers Rs 1.5 lakh for 3-day trip to Bihar

PRAYAGRAJ: Liquor smuggling has turned into such a lucrative business that the mafia is nowadays paying up to Rs 1.50 lakh per trip to truck drivers carrying the consignments from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab to Bihar via UP border.

The Special Task Force (STF) sleuths of UP Police extracted this information from a truck driver and cleaner they recently arrested on seizing a liquor consignment worth Rs 65 lakh in Fatehpur district.
