The Chiefs are a logical pick to win the Super Bowl this season.
That’s not surprising, considering they’ve won two of the past four NFL championships and boast the best player in the league in quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Still, it was a pretty bold move by Fox Sports personality Nick Wright to pick the Chiefs to go undefeated (20-0 including the postseason) and win Super Bowl LVIII.
With that in mind, the “First Things First” host, who recently got a tattoo that reads “Never A Doubt” to commemorate the prediction, tweaked the Lions on social media throughout Thursday night’s game in Kansas City.
Here’s a sampling of his cold takes:
If true, that’s super dope, actually.

This is the biggest game the Lions have played in six years. Their fans have earned this moment.
And Arrowhead is the best environment in the NFL.
They should have a truly great time right until about midway through the 1st Quarter. https://t.co/iJ9V3NAM4P
You go into Arrowhead unafraid.

You execute a fake punt.
You take a 7-0 lead.
Your gameplan is working.
You have the Chiefs in 3rd & 17 before the half.
And… boom. The next time you touch the ball you’ll be down 14 points.
Just doesn’t seem fair.
But it’s like that.
The Lions punting here is a massive mistake that Campbell will say he regrets in the postgame presser.

Same exact thing that happened in the Super Bowl is happening here:

Teams start the game knowing they have to be uber-aggressive to have any chance to beat KC, they are & they’re in the game.
Then BECAUSE they’re in the game, they get conservative… and lose.
You can get the Chiefs -1.5 right now, just an FYI.

Of course, the upstart Lions ruined Wright’s bold prediction, earning a hard-fought 21-20 win.
The loss had to sting for Wright, and Detroit’s social media crew let him know about it.

Indeed, Wright seems to know he’ll have some explaining to do on Friday’s episode of “First Things First.”
Welp… see y’all tomorrow at 3pm ET, I guess. https://t.co/vLwWEnEARc
