This time there was no way to mistake it: Dan Skipper reported.
One week after the Detroit Lions got screwed by the NFL officials in a 20—19 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the team got a taste of redemption with a clever play involving an offensive lineman.
In Week 18’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, the Lions ran a play through offensive tackle Dan Skipper, who reported as an eligible receiver prior to the snap.
On a first down near half field, quarterback Jared Goff threw a four-yard pass to Skipper, who broke a tackle before going out of bounds.
As one would expect, the home crowd at Ford Field went crazy.

Earlier in the Vikings game, the Lions also attempted to run a play involving Skipper as an eligible receiver, and the crowd also roared in response to the referee clearly stating, “Number 70 has reported as eligible.”
With a win over the Vikings on Sunday, the Lions can clinch the No. 2 seed if the Cowboys and Eagles lose in the late afternoon slate.
