Lionesses hero Jill Scott retires from football weeks after Euro 2022 triumph

Another one of England's Euro 2022 winning stars has announced her retirement from the game as Jill Scott has confirmed she is hanging up her boots for the last time.

Scott's announcement comes just 24 hours after fellow Three Lions star Ellen White declared that she too has played her last game as a professional. The pair both played vital roles in England's European Championship success.

Taking to Twitter to confirm the news, Scott wrote: "Right, we’re not crying. I promised myself. I’m retiring from football. And I’m leaving with a gold medal swinging from my neck."
