Linlithgow Reds sealed their place in the last eight of the National Shield thanks to a commanding 28-5 home win over Cambuslang.
The hosts made some early inroads into Cambuslang territory but sloppy passing prevented early scoring opportunities.
However, they finally opened their account when Ross Martin took a quick tapped penalty and drove into the visitors’ defence before setting the ball back for Cammy Murrie.
He duly found Jack Frame with a slick pass and he moved the ball to left wing Ross Plenderleith who burst through in trademark fashion to score, with Frame adding the conversion.
They doubled their account just before the break as Ross Tulloch fielded a clearing kick before beating a couple of defenders and executing a perfectly timed pass to Frame on the halfway line.
He outpaced the defence to score the Reds’ second try and converted his own score to make it 14-0 at half-time.
The home side weren’t able to make the most of a strong breeze behind them in the second-half which allowed Cambuslang to stay in the contest.
They couldn’t get on the scoreboard though and the Reds were eventually able to drive the visitors deep into their own half and add a third try.
Solid work from Martin and Fraser Mochrie saw the ball moved to Aidan Rennison who responded to a shout from Plenderleith who gleefully accepted the pass and scored his second try.
Cambuslang refused to give in and were rewarded for their hard work with a try, but it was nothing more than a consolation and Linlithgow replied with a try of their own to complete the scoring.
A wonderfully worked team try ended in Frame touching down for his second score of the contest before completing the perfect kicking afternoon with his fourth successful conversion.
