Linkin Park to release new single this week

Linkin Park are set to drop a new single this week.

The next single from their eighth album ‘From Zero’ will arrive this week and is titled ‘Over Each Other’.

With the album ‘From Zero’ arriving on November 11, the new track follows the release of ‘The Emptiness Machine’ and 'Heavy Is The Crown’.

The song will be unveiled on Thursday (24.10.24) and will be released alongside a music video directed by the band’s own Joe Hahn, who also helmed the promo for ‘Numb’, ‘From The Inside’, ‘What I’ve Done’, ‘Somewhere I Belong’ and ‘The Emptiness Machine’.

In an Instagram post, Joe said: “A couple of nights after our show in #Seoul Korea, @emilyarmstrong and I stayed in town to shoot our next music video for #OverEachOther.

“It has been a dream of mine to direct a project in Korea one day and this happened! We embraced the K-ness of it all and made it feel like a K-drama. Like always, Emily crushed the performance. I’m looking forward to sharing this with you all next Thursday. Thank you to the cast, @kongseongha, the crew and the rest of the boys from @linkinpark.”

Linkin Park returned in September with a new singer and drummer.

The 'Breaking the Habit' rockers had been on hiatus since the tragic death of frontman Chester Bennington - who took his own life aged 41 in 2017 - but they have ended their self-imposed break with Dead Sara singer Emily Armstrong on vocals and Colin Brittain on drums in the place of Rob Bourdon.

Explaining how the band decided to return with Emily as singer, founding member Mike Shinoda said in a statement: "The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created. We feel really empowered with this new line-up and the vibrant and energised new music we’ve made together. We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.”
