Line of Duty star Daniel Mays compared his co-star Stephen Graham to Blind Date legend Cilla Black.
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine, speaking to host Ranvir Singh, the actor told the tale of how Liverpool-born Stephen set him up with his now wife, Louise Burton. He explained they have a great relationship together and not just on screen.
Ranvir described Stephen as an 'integral part' of Daniel's life. He explained that Line of Duty will be returning soon and it is a chance for him and Stephen to "play in the comedy world".

Daniel, 44, said: "It's great to work with people you love and get on with." Ranvir added: "Well Stephen Graham has a more integral part in your life doesn't he than just being a co-star?"
Daniel replied: "He's my Cilla Black. He was matchmaker to me and my wife. She was a make up artist and we were working on a show years ago and I couldn't ask her out because I was too scared. Then Stephen stepped in and said, you know, sort of put us together."
Speaking of working with Stephen while filming Line of Duty, Daniel said: "We have such a ball filming it for six weeks and we don't stop giggling with one another."
