Senator Lindsey Graham made a strong declaration saying, “I will be with Israel until our dying day,” though it remains unclear whose “dying day” he was referring to. This came during an ongoing bombing campaign against Iran, carried out jointly by the U.S. and Israel, which began last weekend.
This is the second major bombing campaign against Iran since last summer, and both have taken place while the U.S. and Iran were in talks about Iran’s nuclear program. According to Mediaite, the conflict has resulted in over 1,000 Iranian deaths since last Saturday, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior officials.
An elementary school in southern Iran was also struck, killing at least 175 people, most of them children. Officials within the Trump administration reportedly believe the U.S. was responsible for this strike, which Trump has denied. Seven U.S. citizens have also been killed in Iranian retaliatory strikes.
Graham’s long-standing push for war with Iran has now taken center stage
Graham has been a vocal supporter of war with Iran for years. Weeks before the bombing campaign began, he reportedly traveled to Israel multiple times, where he coached Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on how to make the case for war to President Trump. He also met with members of Israeli intelligence during these visits, though reports suggest how far Israel went beyond what the U.S. expected during the strikes left American officials stunned.
Appearing on Hannity, Graham compared the Iranian government to Nazi Germany. “They’re no more normal than Hitler was,” he said, echoing President Trump’s claim that Iran was about to attack before the bombing began. Graham also claimed, without evidence, that Iran would have “11 nuclear bombs” within a year and would use them.

Graham said it would be a “mistake” if President Trump did not pursue full regime change in Iran. “I believe with all my heart and soul, if the regime in Iran still stands when this is over, we’ve made a mistake,” he said.
He added, “If they had a nuclear weapon they would use it. They’ve been lying about what they’re doing with their nuclear program. They wanna bomb because they’re Nazis. They’re crazy. They wanna kill all the Jews. And the Jews have been down that road before.”
He then spoke directly to different groups: “To our friends in Israel, God bless you. I am with you in every way. To all the anti-Semites, to all the isolationists, I don’t, forget it. I’m not with you. I’m with Israel. I will be with Israel until our dying day. They’re the best ally we could hope for.”
Meanwhile, Israel’s vow to eliminate Iran’s next supreme leader adds another layer of escalation to the already volatile conflict. Graham also referenced his meetings with Israeli intelligence, saying, “They’ll tell me things our own government won’t tell me,” suggesting he receives information through channels outside the U.S. government.
