While the recent picture shows her now 26-year-old brother carrying her as they pose in front of the iconic London landmark.

Nancy Myers, who directed the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap starring Lindsay, Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson, commented: “So cute!!!”

Fans were equally appreciative of the nostalgic snap with one writing: “Love this so much."

Another said: “How time flies eh?” while a third wrote: “My favourite movie, I even cried twice.”

A fourth chimed in: “I guess he’s carrying you for a change lol. Great backdrop,” while a fifth added: “My heart can’t cope!”

Lindsay shot to fame as child star in 1998 when she landed her breakout role in The Parent Trap, which was her first feature film.

In the movie she plays the parts of twin sisters Hallie Parker and Annie James, the latter of whom lives in the British capital.

The film sees them switch places when they meet at an American summer camp and eventually get their estranged parents back together.

The original film of the same name was made in 1961 and starred actress Hayley Mills in the lead role.

After starring in the hit movie, Lindsay went on to become one of the biggest stars of the Noughties.

Her most notable films include Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen and Herbie Fully Loaded.

These days, Lindsay lives a quieter life out of the spotlight after moving to Dubai seven years ago.

So what made party-loving Lindsay leave Los Angeles behind?

"Moving here was a fresh start," she told Emirates Woman in 2018. "I don't have to be publicly seen all the time, or discuss what I'm doing.”

Lindsay explained that there's no paparazzi in Dubai, which is a "big deal" for her as it affords her a more private lifestyle.

And it seems the Dubai life suits her as she recently announced she had secretly married her Dubai-based love Bader Shammas .

Posting a loved up snap with the Dubai-based financier, Lindsay wrote: “I am the luckiest woman in the world.

“You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and everything.”

The actress added: “Every woman should feel like this everyday.”
