Lindsay Clancy’s attorney urges judge to acquit her to avoid a second trial

Lindsay Clancy’s defense attorney has asked a judge to acquit her, arguing she shouldn’t be tried a second time for killing her three young children because prosecutors don’t have enough evidence.

Attorney Kevin Reddington is urging the court to rule that she’s not guilty by reason of insanity after 11 of 12 jurors were ready to clear Clancy of criminal responsibility last Friday. They were unable to come to a unanimous decision, forcing Judge William Sullivan to declare a mistrial.
