After last weekend’s football quarter-finals, the attention moves to hurling this weekend with just four teams left standing in the race for the Liam MacCarthy Cup.
Defending champions Limerick take on Galway in the first semi-final on Saturday evening with the Treaty bidding for a four-in-a-row.
Limerick claimed a fifth Munster title in succession with a thrilling and controversial 1-23 to 1-22 win over rivals Clare in the Gaelic Grounds last month.
On the same afternoon, Galway were denied a first Leinster title since 2018 with Cillian Buckley firing home a dramatic stoppage-time winning goal for Kilkenny.
The Tribesmen regrouped to defeat Tipperary in the All-Ireland quarter-finals by two points, but Galway exited the Championship at this stage after three-point defeats to Limerick in 2020 and again last season.
