A young boy has been killed in a crash after the car he was driving collided with a lorry in Limerick in the early hours of Friday.
The crash happened on the N21 road at Rineroe shortly before 2am. It is understood that the child, 12, was driving and was the sole occupant of the car.
The youngster, 12, died at the scene and his body has been taken to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick, reports Irish Mirror.
