The pub where Elle Edwards was shot dead has issued a statement ahead of the 26-year-old's funeral.
Elle Edwards was enjoying a night out with friends and her sister on Christmas Eve, when she was shot in the head at the Lighthouse pub, in Wallasey Village. Police confirmed the beautician was not believed to be the intended target of the shooting, during which four men were also injured.
The pub where the shooting happened remained closed for 12 days following Elle's murder out of respect for her family, and the families of those who were injured. Now, the pub has announce it will close once again on the day of Elle's funeral.

In an update, the pub wrote on Facebook: "Hello everyone, We just wanted to let you know that we’ve decided not to open The Lighthouse on Wednesday 25th January as a mark of respect to Elle Edwards and her family on the day of her funeral. Elle and her family have remained very much in our thoughts over these past few weeks and even more so right now.
Elle's funeral will take place at St Nicholas Church on January 25, and will be followed by a private service at Landican Cemetery and Crematorium, the Diocese of Chester has confirmed. Connor Chapman, 22, of Houghton Road in Woodchurch, was charged with her murder on January 13.
He was also charged with the attempted murder of Kieran Salkeld and Jake Duffy, and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent on three men, Harry Loughran, Nicholas Speed and Liam Carr. He appeared before Liverpool Crown Court on January 16 via video link to HMP Manchester, and was not asked to enter a plea.
A further court hearing was scheduled for April 17, before a trial due to start on June 7.
