ALABAMA - It took André-Pierre Gignac less than nine years to reach the mark. The Frenchman scored his 200th goal for Tigres in all competitions against León on Jan. 17, making him just the 3rd player in Liga MX history to score at least 200 goals for a single team.

Here's a look at his highlights and some of the best records set by the legendary striker during his time in Nuevo León.

175 Liga MX goals

With his goal against León on Jan. 17, 'Monsieur' Gignac reached 175 Liga MX goals. Only 12 players in history have scored more Liga MX goals than Gignac, and he is just 15 goals shy of cracking into the top 10.

During his first tournament in Liga MX, the Apertura 2015, Gignac's 15 goals helped Tigres win their 4th Liga MX title

Tigres all-time leading scorer

Gignac became Tigres' all-time leading scorer in 2019 surpassing Tomás Boy's record of 104 goals for the 'regios.' With a commanding header against Pumas, Gignac scored his 105th goal for the club and, having added 95 more to his collection ever since.

Second most goals in Liga MX finals

Only one man has scored more goals in Liga MX finals than André-Pierre Gignac: José Saturnino Cardozo. His nine goals for Toluca still hold the record for Mexican soccer, although Gignac's total isn't too far off. The Tigres legend has seven goals in finals to his name, tied with Carlos Hermosillo and Humberto Suazo for 2nd-place.

Third best goalscorer in 'Liguillas'

Gignac's 33 postseason goals rank 3rd in Mexican soccer history, just behind Cardozo's 43 and Borgetti's 41. Since the Apertura 2015, the French striker has finished as the top scorer in a 'Liguilla' more times than anyone, having done so in four occasions.

Rogelio Funes Mori, former Rayados player and now at Pumas, is the closest active player to Gignac's 33 goals, having scored 18 postseason goals.

Three Scoring titles

'Bomboro' Gignac has finished as the top scorer in three tournaments: Clausura 2016, Apertura 2018 and Clausura 2022. No other player has won more goalscoring titles than the Frenchman since his arrival and only Mauro Boselli and Raúl Ruidíaz have been able to win more than one.

Most goals in 'Clásico Regio' history

During the Apertura 2023 tournament, Gignac kept on making history by becoming the player with the most goals in the Monterrey-Tigres matchup known as 'Clásico Regio'. With his two goals, Gignac reached a total of 12 in his career against the city rivals, surpassing Mario de Souza Mota 'Bahía' as the player with the most goals in the rivalry.

The Frenchman has only scored more goals against Pumas (17), León (13) and Chivas (13) during his nine-year stint with Tigres.
