Life one of the UK's cheapest streets has been revealed where houses cost less than £50,000.
For those who are looking to get on the property ladder, a town in West Yorkshire is the perfect place to start, as it has homes going for far less than the average.
And while the past year has been a turbulent time for homeowners - with mortgage rates surging and signs house prices could be dropping - a home in the market town of Huddersfield could still be the perfect investment.
With new developments, shops and the community coming together, the area has "changed a lot over the years" and makes the perfect place for first-time-buyers or those with families.
A survey by PropertySolvers, a regulated property buyer, has now revealed the cheapest and most expensive streets in Kirklees, reports Yorkshire Live.
At the top end of the market, a house in Delamere Gardens, Huddersfield, will set you back on average more than £930,000. And on Wakefield Road, Denby Dale, you will need a minimum of £900,000.
But for those with a smaller chequebook, a property on Ashfield Street, Huddersfield, is perfect. Houses there sell at just over £41,000, while on Crescent Road, Birkby, they cost just under £50,000.
And for those desperate to get a foot on the property ladder, residents say that Crescent Road has changed a lot over the decades, with families jumping at the chance to buy in the area.
Now, the area has become a thriving place for residents of all ages, with an Asian superstore, a Message Islamic Centre just doors away and an Asian takeaways on the main street through the village.
Best of all in the summer there are Friday evenings when the eateries put out stalls and residents can buy freshly cooked dishes in a friendly atmosphere.
Some locals have lived in the area for over 50 years, say that they have seen an amazing change in the area.
Alan Bassinder, 70, who bought his home on Crescent Road for £4,000 in 1977, said: "I like living here. My mum lives a mile and a half away and it's not far from Asda in Bradley for shopping. No one bothers us and I get on with everyone.
"It's changed a lot over the years. There used to be a Co-op just across the road from us and that's now a Khadim store."
Just a few doors away lives Ted Firth, 92, and his 85-year-old wife June.
Ted, a retired builder, says: "We have lived here for 56 years and bought the three-bedroom property for £1,000 freehold. It's been a very, very happy house for us.
"We moved in on June 21, 1966, and we have seen a lot of changes during that time. When we arrived there was only my van on the road and children played football on the street. There are a lot of taxi drivers who live here now.
"I was brought up in Lindley and when I was six years old we moved to Clayton Fields, between Edgerton and Birkby. When we moved here we ended up pulling all the innards out and we have wooden beams and stone fireplaces now. I even created my own pub."
He added: "It's a nice happy house - we have four grown up married children who live nearby - and although Birkby has changed a lot over the years we really like it here.
"No one comes calling for cups of sugar or anything like that and although people are friendly everyone tends to keep themselves to themselves."
