Life on Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher's new farm and where it's located

Kelvin Fletcher starred in his very own farming debut tonight in BBC's Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure.

The soap star has spent most of his life playing a farmer, Andy Sugden, on ITV's Emmerdale - and now he is attempting to do it for real.

Kelvin and his wife Liz have bought a 120-acre farm on the edge of the Peak District National Park, which they plan to bring back to its former working glory - despite having zero farming experience.

The couple have been running their new farm throughout the coronavirus pandemic, with their new show promising to show the highs and lows they've faced along the way.

Where is Kelvin Fletcher's farm?

Kelvin Fletcher's farm is located on the edge of the stunning Peak District National Park.

The impressive 120-acre 18th-century property features outbuildings and several animals, including 20 sheep, three pigs and three alpacas.

The couple, who recently announced that they are expecting their third child, made the move from Oldham, Manchester to the Peak District.

Kelvin announced that they had bought a farm on Instagram in December 2021, posting a photo of him, his wife, and their two children next to a tractor.

He wrote: "If you’ve been sat there wondering what these random farming and outdoor pictures are all about well now you know!

"We have literally jumped in at the deep end and bought a farm!"

He continued: "A reluctant Wife, 2 crazy kids and a Husband with knowledge of farming you could write on the back of a stamp! What could possibly go wrong?!"

Can you visit Kelvin Fletcher's farm?

Unlike Amanda and Clive Owen's Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales, which opens to the public in spring and summer, it isn't thought that Kelvin's farm will be open for visitors.

When is Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure on BBC?

BBC's answer to Our Yorkshire Farm started tonight (Monday, January 17), and will follow Kelvin and his wife as they encounter a whole host of challenges, from maintaining a huge estate to facing livestock markets.

There will be six half-hour episodes of the new series in total, releasing weekly on Mondays at 8.30pm.
