Life-like robots are giving museum tours and working government jobs

  • At another booth, three women appeared to be greeting guests. But up close, they turned out to be humanoid robots that could be the future of customer service and museum tour guides.
  • The company behind them has already sold more than 400 robots designed with female features and soft synthetic faces. Some are already working in museums and government venues, where they can lead guests to washrooms and offices or provide venue tours.
  • The development of humanoid robots is a key focus of Beijing's latest five-year plan, aiming to advance technology and applications in the sector.
