Fed up neighbours say they have had enough after suffering five years of anti-social behaviour, including drug deals, fires and residents vomiting in the street.
Neighbours of King Street in Fenton, Stoke, have made several complaints to charity Saltbox about the address used to temporarily house people who are homeless or in need of help.
Some residents have installed CCTV around their homes after suffering issues for several years such as drug deals and criminal damage.
Now some have spoken out following the death of a woman on the street last week which led to police standing guard outside the house for two days.
Neighbour Jake Whitehouse is among those looking to move away after becoming sick of issues linked to the property.
The NHS worker told StokeonTrentLive : “I’ve got kids and I’ve got cameras front and back to protect myself solely because of that property.
It has got to the point where we are thinking about moving. I've already saved the money but in this economic climate it’s really hard.”
“That Saltbox house should be condemned. I have reported it constantly to Saltbox and all they say is that they will log it and get someone to call me back.
“We’ve had people throwing up out of the back window which meant in the summer there were flies everywhere and this stopped my kids playing in the garden.
“People have kicked the door in at 2am and we’ve had drug dealers selling mamba and spice out the back.”
Another fuming neighbour added: “We've had fires as well as people climbing on the roof, throwing food, and banging on doors in the early hours of the morning.”
Saltbox operates the Restart programme which aims to 'help anybody who is homeless or at risk of homelessness and needs support to make changes that can lead to a better life'.
A Saltbox spokesman said: “Our Restart service is committed to working with tenants, residents, and local authorities to resolve any outstanding issues."
A police spokesman said: "We were called to an address on King Street at 10.06am on Tuesday following reports of a sudden death. Sadly, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Her death is currently being treated as unexplained and a file is being prepared for HM coroner.
