People have branded a non electric slow cooker as a "life saver".
The UK has been faced with a cost of living crisis as households struggle to cope amid mounting energy bills. Prime Minister Liz Truss announced a £2,500 price freeze in a bid to ease the burden on energy customers.
However, Martin Lewis has explained the £2,500 figure has been "misused in some places" since it is still depended on how much energy you use. He said: "That £2,500 is an illustration of what the price cap would be for someone on typical use.

" What's actually capped is the standing charge, the amount you pay per day, and the unit rate, which is the amount you pay for each unit of electricity and gas you use. If you use more, then you pay more. If you use less then you pay less."
Households across the UK are searching for ways to reduce energy bills and a group of Facebook users have been wowed by a non electric slow cooker method. Thermal cooking involves bringing a pot of food to the boil before transferring it to an insulated vessel where it cooks.
South African entrepreneur branded the item a Wonderbag in 2008 as she was inspired by her nan's cooking. Users on Facebook have heaped praise on the cooking technique.
One said: "I'm from South Africa and use my Wonderbag all the time. We have loadshedding here which means we are without power for a few hours everyday according to a schedule so unfortunately I struggle to use my slow cooker now as it cant be on for a long enough period of time. I use the bag the same way I use a slow cooker....absolute lifesaver for me and not relying on power."
Another couldn't believe it and said: "Is this for real?! What is made of? How does it cook?! My mind has been blown."
A third said: "Use mine a lot. For anyone concerned about the cooking temperature, use a cooking thermometer to check once it's done or bring the pot up to the boil and simmer on a hob before serving. It won't accommodate long handled pots so I use a lidded stainless steel stew pot with two short handles. I find the food tastes better than that cooked in the powered slow cooker and of course it's cheaper."
