Jammu: Lieutenant General Mohit Seth took over as the new General Officer Commanding of the Nagrota-based White Knight Corps from Lieutenant General P K Mishra on Thursday, officials said.

In an X post, the White Knight Corps said Lt Gen Seth has taken over command of the 16 Corps.

"On assuming command, the new Corps Commander exhorted all ranks to uphold the highest standards of operational readiness, professional excellence and team spirit, while continuing to foster peace, security and stability in the region," it read.

Before his appointment, Lt Gen Seth served as Commandant of the Indian Military Training Team in Bhutan. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy and National Defence College, he was commissioned into the 3 Madras Regiment in 1991, and had commanded the Army's Kilo Force in Jammu and Kashmir.
