Liel Abada insists Ange Postecoglou’s detailed planning and a sole-game focus are the keys to Celtic’s stunning Premiership run. The Israeli scored in Dingwall at the weekend as the champions earned a 3-1 win over Ross County.
Celtic’s victory in the Highlands took their unbeaten record in Scotland’s top-flight to a remarkable 34 matches dating back to last September. Abada says the staggering sequence is down to a constant refusal of the manager and his squad to look beyond the very next test.
Kilmarnock are next on Sunday and Postecoglou’s troops will put every shred of focus into Rugby Park as they aim to extend the run. Abada insists Celtic never look beyond their immediate task and revealed the boss has them fully clued-up for each and every test.
He explained: “It is just that we look from game to game, look to do our jobs and play our football. The manager is always ready for each of the games and then he always tells us what to do when we are in them. Hopefully, we will keep it going. It’s that we look at it game-to-game. All the focus just goes onto the next one. That’s it.”
