Lidl sells affordable heater that 'warms rooms for pence' amid cost of living crisis

Lidl has unveiled a new affordable heater which doubles up as a fan for less than £20. Amid the cost of living crisis, Brits are trying to find cheaper alternatives to stay warm and comfortable - and now their prayers have been answered.

The supermarket giant says its new heater means customers can "can cosy up on the sofa without breaking the bank", as reported by the Liverpool Echo. They will unleash its Silvercrest Ceramic Fan Heater in stores on Thursday, December 22.

It comes after temperatures in the UK fell to as low as -11C. The heater has two adjustable settings, with the lower setting costing just over 20p an hour to use, and the higher coming in at 41p per hour.
