Supermarket Lidl is recalling one of its popular products because some of the packs contain salmonella .
The recall is for 200g packets of Lidl Alesto Californian roasted and salted pistachios.
A note from the Food Standards Authority (FSA) said: "Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps."
Affected packs of pistachios have the best before date of October 4, 2022.
Anyone who has bought one of the packets can return it to a Lidl store for a full refund.
Customers do not need a receipt to get a refund.
Lidl will be putting up signs in stores to explain the problem.
A Lidl spokesperson said: "Lidl GB wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
This year Lidl also recalled a batch of its 240g Deluxe stuffed dates - also because of salmonella within some packs.
Already 2022 has seen several other supermarkets recalling their products due to salmonella contamination.
Last month Tesco and Waitrose recalled two popular products over fears they may contain the hazardous bacteria.
Big Four grocer Tesco is pulling certain use by dates of its Hog Roast Style Pork with Apple Sauce.
The possible presence of salmonella has been found in packs with the use by dates: January 6, 9, 15 and 17, 2022, February 6, 2022, and March 8 and 9, 2022.
While some of these dates may have already passed, it might be worth checking your freezer in case you have one stashed away.
The Tesco Hog Roast Style Pork with Apple Sauce comes in a pack size 425g and costs £4.
Meanwhile, rival supermarket Waitrose recalled its own-brand Green Pesto with Basil with a use by date of February 27, 2022.
Also last month more than 30 pork scratching products were recalled due to salmonella contamination.
The affected items were made by Fresher Foods Ltd, with brands that have been pulled include Openshaws, Pub Original, AwfullyPosh and Snaffling Pig.
Fresher Foods products are sold in Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado and Amazon, as well as other shops.
At the start of the year supermarkets including Tesco , Aldi , Morrisons and Sainsbury’s recalled several pastry and dough products after salmonella was detected .
The warning was issued for ready-to-roll raw pastry and dough products made by Bake Away.
