Lidl, Iceland and Morrisons make recalls on nuts, curries and more

Lidl, Iceland and Morrisons have issued urgent product recalls.

The Food Standards Agency has issued warnings on nuts and curries over concerns the items have been incorrectly labelled or contain salmonella. When a product is recalled, the Food Standards Agency shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

It said anyone with any of the below items should visit their nearest supermarket for a full refund or exchange.

Lidl

Lidl GB is recalling Alesto Californian Pistachios Roasted and Salted because salmonella has been found in the product.

Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

  • Best-before date: 04 October 2022

Point of sale notices will be displayed in retail stores that are selling this product.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

Alesto Californian Pistachios Roasted and Salted (Lidl)

If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Iceland

Iceland is recalling Iceland Takeaway Chicken Bhuna (Frozen) because it contains milk that is not declared on the label.

As a result of a packaging error, some packs may contain Iceland Takeaway Creamy Butter Chicken.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

This product contains milk making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Iceland has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents do not eat it.

Morrisons

Morrisons is recalling their elements scented candles because there is a risk that some candles may burn in an uncontrolled manner presenting a fire risk.

Product details:

  • Morrisons Elements Scented Tin Candles
  • Variants: Fire, Water, Earth, Air

If you have purchased one of these candles, do not burn it and return it to your nearest Morrisons store for a full refund. A receipt is not required.

No other candles are affected by this recall.

Morrisons said: "We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
