Supermarket giant Lidl has found itself in hot water over an announcement about its upcoming Greek week. The retailer often has different weeks where it focuses on cuisine from different countries around the world.
Some shopper favourites include Portuguese week, Dutch week and South American week - to name just a few. But Lidl's latest foreign food announcement has rubbed some people up the wrong way.
Posting on Facebook, Lidl wrote: "POV: It’s picnic weather and it’s also Greek Week." The post showcased some of the delicious Greek food on offer in Lidl stores; including Tzatziki, Meze, Breadsticks and Olive Oil.
