Lidl answers fans demands as it relaunches its viral merch to 'dominate SS23'

Branded merchandise is big business, from artist t-shirts sold at concerts to tote bags for your favourite independent seller.

Somewhat strangely, supermarket brands and some food chains have also entered into the merchandise market. Greggs' collaboration with Primark sold out quickly, with restocks and fresh launches keep fans wanting more.

No stranger to this 'merch' is Lidl as the initial launch of its branded fashion line a few years ago saw queues of people waiting for the store to open.

After proving popular with customers, Lidl is bringing a whole new lineup of trainers, t-shirts and even sliders in a matter of days.

Lidl x Lidl, the spring summer collection for 2023 is relaunching the popular Lidl branded sliders and tube socks, which retail for less than £5 each.

While socks and sandals might not be fashionable, these sliders are certainly attention grabbing with a bright yellow strap and bold Lidl logo written across both shoes.

Additionally, the German supermarket is releasing some graphic tees, again costing just £4.99 each, which is likely cheaper than the merchandise for your favourite artist.

The tops come in black, white, and blue with the Lidl logo on display in a 90s-esque style, fitting with the theme of the rest of the launch and current nostalgic fashion trends.

Stars of the show from the first launch were Lidl's branded trainers and the supermarket is releasing a redesigned version for 2023.

The once brightly block coloured trainers are now softened to a more wearable white base with graphic accent lines in bold colours. Of course the signature Lidl logo is front and centre on the tongue of the chunky trainer.

Trainers from the original launch are selling for £30 to £60 online, with one eBay user pushing the price up to £1,299. This is a staggering mark up considering the new batch are retailing for just £14.99.

If this wasn't enough, you can even get Lidl branded swim trunks with the logo printed all over them against a blue background - the perfect extra pair costing £5.99.

To top it off, Lidl is also selling three mini sports balls at £2.99 to complete your summer look as you and your squad head to the beach, decked out in full Lidl attire.

All of this hits the UK shelves on Thursday, March 23, 2023, but you'll need to act fast if you're hoping to get your hands on more popular items like the incredibly affordable trainers.
