The exact date for the opening of a new supermarket at a retail park has been confirmed.
The new Lidl at the Wilford Lane Retail Park in West Bridgford will open for the first time on Thursday, February 24.
The store's opening times will be between 8am-10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am–4pm on Sunday and Lidl said that 40 new jobs will be created for the local community as a result of the opening.
The new supermarket will feature a sales area of 1,265m² and have an in-store bakery, customer toilets and parking for cars and bicycles in the newly built retail park.
Managers have also said that the new store will be providing surplus produce and customer donations to several local charities, including Betel Nottingham, Bilborough Helping Others and Sai Dham Community Centre who redistribute food to those in the local community in need.
Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Dominic Bryan, said: “It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome everyone into our new store in West Bridgford.
"We have received overwhelming support from local residents, and we would like to thank everyone who has played a part in delivering this new store.
"We now look forward to serving our multi award-winning products to the community.”
The finishing touches are now being made at the £20m retail park, with a Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks and Pure Gym also planned for the area.
Plans have also been submitted for a new Aldi supermarket nearby.
