The sign-stealing allegations surrounding Michigan are currently the biggest story in college football. Many coaches throughout the country are hearing questions about it, including Colorado's Deion Sanders and Nebraska's Matt Rhule.
Liberty's Jamey Chadwell took a less direct, but very funny approach to the story on social media late Tuesday night, hours after the Flames' 42–29 victory over Western Kentucky.
Chadwell posted a photo of a pair of fans wearing Michigan gear in the stands at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium in Bowling Green, Ky. This looked suspiciously like spectators who were reportedly given tickets by a Michigan staffer to seats that allowed them to spy on the sideline for play signals.
"Is it me or is this sus that there are Michigan fans on the 50-yard line tonight to see the Flames," Chadwell said on X (formerly Twitter).

What made the image hilarious is that these fans were hardly being inconspicuous. They were literally wearing their Michigan fandom for all to see. If the pair were spies, they weren't being secret operatives.
One Liberty fan couldn't resist checking the situation out and said hello to the Wolverines supporters. He determined that nothing questionable was happening.

Another fan pointed out the connection between Jim Harbaugh's family and Western Kentucky. Jim's father, Jack, coached the Hilltoppers for 14 seasons and the stadium club is named after him and his wife. So it's possible that these fans were family friends showing their support for the Harbaugh family.
Or there could be no connection at all and this is overthinking the situation. These could just be Michigan fans who wore apparel for their favorite school while attending a game in which they may have had no rooting interest. How many fans have done that?
Regardless, Chadwell made a funny joke and brought some light to a potentially serious situation.
